Genie is a modern disco pop band, hailing from the excesses and the glories of a global music movement that began decades before and is primed to take over the world again. A modern day reimagining of the fun of Studio 54 mixed with the heart of the 70s and 80s, Genie has arrived right on time for the disco pop renaissance brought by major artists such as Dua Lipa with her album Future Nostalgia and Silk Sonic with their single Leave the Door Open.

Stuck at home because of the Coronavirus pandemic after months of writing songs, Genie hooked up with LA-based Wrecking Crew legend Don Peake (Gloria Gaynor, the Jackson Five, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles), his son Isaac Peake and Motown artist William Goldstein (Fame, CBS Masterworks) to produce new music.
